| Activities |
I have been active with internships recognizing the school system in guidance offices and mentoring children at an elementary school every day this past senior year. Throughout high school I have been involved with Key Club for 1 year, Lasertoa for 1 year and the Lady Sailor Service Club and National Honor Society for 2 years. I served as President for the Lady Sailor Service Club and correlated a different service project each month to a non-profit organization. We also have had a Relay for Life team for the past 2 years. Working with different organizations each month helps diversify yourself and learn more about the community you live in. I have had the opportunity to work with Habitat for Humanity, SPARCC, American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, The Pines Retirement Center, Greyhound Rescue Project, Sarasota Memorial Children’s Unit, All Faiths Food Bank, United Cerebral Palsy, Fruitville Library, the Humane Society, Save our Seabirds and the county’s arts and reading festivals. It has some of the most rewarding opportunities to provide motivation and leadership and has made me a stronger person from my heart. Setting attainable goals, planning activities and seeing the excitement from everyone involved keeps me inspired to exceed our goal and make a difference. I have also participated in horseback-riding ranging from western to eventing competitions for the past 9 years. This has been a passion of mine and will continue throughout my college career. |

| Future Plans |
My personal long-range goals for the future would be to graduate school with an International Studies degree and minors in Communications and English. Shortly thereafter, make my way traveling the globe. My goal is to help people with disabilities or health issues reach where they need to be to receive proper medical treatment through visas ect. attaining this through international medical organizations. Be open with yourself and make a difference in the world. Every person has fought a battle in their lifetime. Spread your knowledge, you can only gain in return. The best reward I get is the joy and happiness I see from a person knowing that their getting the help they need and that they are going to be okay. |
